An early look at what’s to come

As we always do around this time of the month, we’re taking an early look today at what’s ahead for August 2026’s Xbox Game Pass selection, with five games currently scheduled to arrive in a few weeks’ time.
We’ve got two absolutely massive additions here in Beast of Reincarnation and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and keep in mind that we’ll obviously hear of many more titles for August over the coming weeks.
Don’t forget that July is absolutely stacked for Xbox Game Pass additions too, highlighted by Halo: Campaign Evolved on the 28th. We’re still only just getting started with this month’s titles, let alone next month!
Without further ado, here’s what’s confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in August 2026 so far:
Beast of Reincarnation – Series X|S, PC, Cloud (August 4)
Game Freak’s brand-new title: Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG with a fusion of real-time and turn-based combat. Experience the innovative “one-person, one-dog action RPG” in the beautiful yet harsh world of Beast of Reincarnation. What awaits at the end of Emma and Koo’s journey?
Monsters Are Coming! – Series X|S (August 6)
Beware, Monsters are Coming! In this Tower-Survivor rogue-lite, you protect an ever-moving city from unrelenting hordes. Gather resources, fortify defences, and survive for as long as you can. Will you reach the Ark?
Sandustry – PC (August 13)
Explore and mine fully destructible worlds. Automate increasingly complex production chains. Delve deep to uncover an ancient civilization’s powerful secrets and learn to love the sand in this factory game where every pixel is a valuable resource.
Grave Seasons – Series X|S, PC, Cloud (August 14)
Grave Seasons is a narrative farming sim with a terrifying twist – someone in the town is a supernatural serial killer. Farm, romance, and investigate your way through the unsettling town of Ashenridge.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – Series X|S, PC, Cloud (August 27)
