First clip of PS5 Pro gameplay revealed
by Liam Croft
IO Interactive has shared the first glimpse of 007 First Light running on a PS5 Pro, featuring the chaotic action scene at the airport first seen in the State of Play deep dive from last year. The developer reveals it’ll run at 60 frames-per-second on the upgraded console, and you can have a watch in the social media post below:
In follow-up responses, the team confirms the base PS5 will offer two graphics modes at launch on 27th May 2026, but the visual resolutions for them weren’t shared:
- Performance Mode
- 60 frames-per-second
- Quality Mode
- 30 frames-per-second
Top-of-the-range PC towers will be able to run 007 First Light better than a PS5 Pro, but if you’re looking for the console experience, then the PS5 Pro will be the best place for the James Bond simulator — and basically any other game, for that matter.
The plan on our end is to have a full 007 First Light PS5 review ready for the embargo, but for now, you could check out our hands on thoughts from a recent preview event:

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he’s found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
