June 25 (UPI) — An Australian snake catcher called to remove a large python from a resident’s bedroom ended up rounding up a massive spider in the same room.
Stuart McKenzie of Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 was called out to a Queensland home on a report of a large snake in a resident’s bedroom.
A video shared by the snake catching business shows McKenzie enter the room to discover a gigantic huntsman spider on the wall above the head of the bed.
“A SPIDER and a SNAKE in the same bedroom,” the post said. “This is what some people’s nightmares are made of.”
McKenzie said it was one of the largest huntsman spiders he had ever seen.
The video shows McKenzie using a hook to wrangle the snake, a carpet python, before using his hat to catch the spider.
The spider was released outside the home, and the snake was taken to a nearby wooded area.
