April 24 (UPI) — A California performer known as the “Unicycle Granny” was named the oldest unicycle rider in the world at the age of 69 years and 189 days old.
Linda Jarrett, who started riding her unicycle at the age of 10, first earned the record in January 2023, at the age of 66 years and 234 days old, and has now extended her record with a December 2025 performance in a production of The Nutcracker.
Jarrett performed in Florida State University’s flying circus while she was enrolled as a student, leading to a circus career and eventually jobs as a Hollywood stunt performer.
She still performs on her unicycle, as well as other acrobatic skills, in regional and community theater productions.
“Advice I might have for people that want to unicycle is this… start very young and never stop,” she told Guinness World Records.
