Investigators determined that a burglary had taken place. Several individuals allegedly forced open a kitchen window to enter the apartment. Several rooms were searched and ransacked, and bottles of perfume were stolen.
The Lyon prosecutor’s office opened an investigation for burglary by breaking and entering and sexual assault. The sexual assault qualification was retained specifically “given her state of nudity at the time of discovery.” No other details were provided about the woman’s condition.
There have been no announced arrests or identifications of suspects, who remain on the run.
No specific descriptions of the perpetrators, additional stolen items, forensic results, or precise circumstances of the undressing beyond the initial findings have been made public. The investigation is ongoing.
A police union spokesperson, Benjamin Camboulives of Alternative Police (CFDT), commented publicly that “the delinquents no longer have any limits,” but this added no new factual information about the case itself.
