A Portland Antifa agitator known as “Spider Mike” has been banned from returning to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility due to repeat criminal activity. Michael James Duntley, 59, was convicted on July 17 of recklessly endangering another person when he intentionally knocked down a stop sign with his truck and towed it away from the ICE facility.
Multnomah County District Court Judge Andrew Lavin sentenced Duntley on July 20 to one year of supervised probation and ordered him to stay 300 feet away from the ICE building located in the southwest waterfront neighborhood, court records show.
Duntely, a self-proclaimed “Antifa leader,” pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person in exchange for second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief charges being dismissed, according to court documents. Antifa is a designated left-wing terrorist organization.
On March 5, 2026, Duntley was captured on video parking his truck next to a city stop sign, chaining the stop sign to his truck, and ripping the stop sign out of the ground during an anti-ICE direct action. The stop sign was located next to ICE facility property, and Duntley allegedly appeared to be working in concert with several additional Antifa activists, including Leilani Payne, also known as “Mace Face.”
Duntley has been a key player in the ongoing anti-ICE demonstrations since last year and has a documented history of violently targeting his political opposition. He often arrives outside of the Portland ICE facility wearing a jersey that reads “Antifa” on the back.

On January 31, 2026, Duntley was accused of allegedly assaulting an elderly disabled veteran during an Antifa direct action. According to reports, Duntley approached a pro-ICE local resident and veteran, known as “Captain Jerry,” who was using a mobility scooter, and forcefully knocked him out of his chair.
The victim, a resident of Gray’s Landing apartments located across the street from the ICE facility, hit his head on the pavement and sustained significant injuries. Despite the incident being captured on video, Duntley escaped prosecution.
The January 31 incident resembles a pattern of aggressive actions linked to his activism.
Duntley joins a lengthy list of protesters, both left-wing and right-wing, who have been banned by local and federal authorities from coming within a large radius of the ICE facility due to their criminal charges and convictions stemming from demonstrations since June 2025.
Prosecutions, both federal and local, remain ongoing.
