Merz is paying the price for being the most unpopular Chancellor in German history.
The constant feature of the Euro-Globalist ‘leaders’ nowadays is dismal poll numbers: they cling to power even though a vast majority of voters would rather have them go.
But a new development, first in the UK and now in Germany, is that the Labour and now the CDU parties are starting to work on ‘palace coups’ to change leaders without calling early elections that they’d be destined to lose.
So, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, completing one year in power, watches as his party grooms a younger, more popular rival ‘from the industrial heartlands’ that – they think – can unite the German voters.
Of course, the problem with Merz is not his disagreeable character or his nasty comments, but the Globalist, suicidal public policies emanating from Brussels that the CDU follows.
Germany’s CDU is reportedly holding private discussions about replacing Chancellor Merz.
Names being floated: North Rhine-Westphalia premier Hendrik Wüst, Hesse governor Boris Rhein, and Saxony premier Michael Kretschmer.

The Telegraph reported:
“The German chancellor has been beset by rumors this week that members of his own party are plotting to remove him.
Senior figures within the centre-Right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) have become so frustrated with Mr Merz’s performance that they are privately discussing whether he should be replaced before the next federal election, several German newspapers are reporting.”

“With the CDU slipping ever further behind the hard-Right AfD in national polls – and 71 per cent of Germans thinking Mr. Merz is doing a bad job – MPs have openly questioned the Chancellor’s ability to reverse the party’s fortunes.
One name keeps surfacing as a potential successor: Hendrik Wüst, the telegenic premier of North Rhine-Westphalia, who is the most popular figure in the party.”

Wüst hasn’t been affected by the trend of collapsing CDU support. He is set to be easily reelected in the North Rhine-Westphalia state.
While he denies plotting against Merz, his ambition to be a future chancellor is well known.
