July 29 (UPI) — A Virginia man said his “daily adventure” led to his winning a $500,000 prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The Midlothian man told Virginia Lottery officials he refers to buying his tickets as a “daily adventure,” and one such daily routine brought him to the Styles Bi-Rite store on Hull Street Road in Midlothian.

He selected a Six Figures scratch-off ticket, and scratched it off in the store, revealing a $500,000 top prize.

The winner said the first thing he did was find a quiet place to call his son to share the news.

The man said he does not have any immediate plans for his money.
