The wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, a quiet but powerful influence over one of the world’s most hyped “safe” AI companies, once pitched Jeffrey Epstein on investing in her “free luxury porn” venture years after the financier’s 2008 conviction for soliciting minors.
Emails released in the Epstein files and detailed in recent Wall Street Journal reporting show Cami Clark, who married Amodei in 2022 and acts as his informal sounding board and strategic adviser, repeatedly contacted the registered sex offender in 2011 and 2012.
She sought money for Eddice, the women-focused adult company she co-founded that billed itself as “intellectually promiscuous.”

Literary agent John Brockman first connected Clark and her business partner Michelle Capocefalo to Epstein in March 2011, emailing him: “You should connect for dinner with my girls – Cami and Michele… They’re in LA raising money for porn movie aimed at women’s market.”
Clark followed up that night: “Hello Jeffrey! We would love to have dinner with you this evening.” She later sent scripts and treatments for films including “American Girl in Paris,” noting they were “a little nsfw” and that Epstein “and the ladies might enjoy” them.
A year later, in March 2012, Clark reintroduced herself: “We have the free luxury porn company. Does that ring a bell?” Epstein replied, “yes,, a loud gong.” Clark answered, “Hahaha I was going to say, you would be the first person ever that didn’t remember us.”
When she pressed for investment as the company moved into video, Epstein declined with “Can’t do sex TV.” Clark stayed in contact for roughly two years, inviting him to a Manhattan housewarming and connecting on LinkedIn. No investment appears to have occurred.
Clark holds no formal title or salary at Anthropic. Yet people close to the company describe her as a key adviser who sits in the front row at Amodei’s appearances, networks with investors at Davos and Sun Valley, and helped bring in early backer Eric Schmidt—whom she previously dated.
She even proposed a “Mother of AGI Fund” in 2021 to formalize her role and manage Schmidt’s investment; co-founders blocked it. As Anthropic races toward a potential $2 trillion IPO, her low public profile stands out.
References to the marriage have been scrubbed online. Anthropic’s own Claude chatbot replies that Amodei’s marital status “doesn’t seem to be clearly confirmed.” Google searches often surface photos of his sister instead.
This latest detail lands amid a steady drip of Epstein network revelations that continue exposing how elites moved in the same circles long after his conviction, often with little consequence.
Bill Gates ignored repeated internal warnings and met Epstein roughly thirty times between 2011 and 2014, according to an independent review. Foundation staff flagged the reputational risks after the 2008 plea deal; Gates proceeded anyway. He has since called the association a “grave error in judgment” and admitted he was “quite stupid.”
Yet another key associate turned up dead this summer. French model scout Daniel Siad, who appeared thousands of times in the files for funneling women to Epstein over more than a decade, was found dead at his home near Paris. An autopsy was ordered. Prosecutors had been examining trafficking links; proceedings against him ended with his death.
Silicon Valley’s own connections keep surfacing. Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn co-founder and major Democratic donor, maintained far deeper ties than he initially acknowledged—staying at Epstein properties, exchanging gifts including “ice cream for the girls,” and remaining in contact years after the conviction.

Billionaire Les Wexner testified that he vetted Epstein partly on claims that the financier was running finances for the Rothschild family in France, and that he confirmed this directly with Élie de Rothschild. Epstein himself wrote that he represented the Rothschilds.
Even the World Economic Forum has been forced to review its own CEO after files showed multiple dinners and messages with Epstein in 2018 and 2019, with the financier positioning himself as a “Davos concierge.”

Anthropic markets itself as the careful, transparent alternative in artificial intelligence. Its own model cannot even confirm the CEO is married to the woman who once pitched a luxury porn company to Jeffrey Epstein.
