April 27 (UPI) — A Maryland man said he has working an overtime shift at his job to thank for leading him a $100,000 lottery prize.

The Baltimore man, identified by the initials A.R., told Maryland Lottery officials he had just finished an overtime shift as a street sweeper on April 19 when he stopped at the Wawa store on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale.

He left the store with a sandwich and a pair of scratch-off lottery tickets.

A.R. said he scratched his tickets off later in the evening and discovered one, a 50X The Cash game, was a $100,000 winner.

The man, who said he is keeping his lottery win a secret, said his prize money will go toward paying bills and purchasing a new vehicle.
