President Trump announced on Monday that he will hold a news conference at Trump National Doral golf resort in Miami before traveling back to the White House this evening.
This comes as US forces ramp up the offensive in Iran during the second week of war.
Prior to the press conference, Trump delivered remarks to Republican members of Congress at the Republican Members’ Issues Conference. He touched on Iran, highlighting the US Military’s destruction of Iranian defenses in Operation Epic Fury.
Trump announced earlier that he is holding “many important meetings and phone calls” in Florida and will hold the news conference after speaking to GOP lawmakers.

Many important meetings and phone calls taking place today while I am at Trump National Doral, in Miami. Additionally, I will be going to Speaker Mike Johnson’s (who is doing a fantastic job!) fundraising event, at 4 P.M., and then, prior to leaving for D.C., I will hold a News Conference from a Doral Ballroom at approximately 5:30 P.M. The press conference comes as developments with the war unfold, including oil prices nearing $100 per barrel.
On Sunday, the President shrugged off rising energy costs following the Strait of Hormuz’s closure, calling it a “very small price to pay” for “peace.”
The Press conference is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm ET.
