April 22 (UPI) — Employees inside a coffee truck broken down at the side of a highway captured video of the moment an escaped kangaroo hopped into traffic.
The owners of Espressoak said their truck was stranded at the side of Interstate 20 in Eastland County on Saturday when a wheel bearing on the trailer broke.
The workers inside recorded video when a kangaroo escaped from a nearby property and wandered out onto the highway.
The coffee truck owners said the marsupial wandered around the area for about an hour before being safely returned to its owner.
Kangaroos are legal to own in Texas.
Espressoak said repairs on the trailer are underway.
