Watch: Florida man breaks own record with mini basketball shot from 102 feet

Aug. 18 (UPI) — A Florida man launched a miniature basketball into a hoop from a distance of over 100 feet to break his own Guinness World Record.

Nicholas DeMarinis, aka Nickybucketz, threw his ball into the hoop from a distance of 102 feet and 11.76 inches to break the Guinness World Record for the longest miniature basketball shot on July 4.

He previously set the record in March with a shot from a distance of 101 feet and 8.47 inches.

DeMarinis previously set the record for the most consecutive miniature basketball shots in September 2025, when he sank 232 shots.

He honed his skills as a national competitor at the game of Pop-a-Shot, a head-to-head arcade game featuring mini basketballs and two hoops.
