Feb. 11 (UPI) — Police in Minnesota came to the rescue of a deer that wound up with its antlers entangled in a rope hammock that had been left unattended.
The Forest Lake Police Department said on social media that officers “weren’t expecting to have to free a deer from a hammock during their shift.”
The post included body camera footage of the incident, which occurred last week, showing an officer using a long pole to keep the deer still while another officer used a knife attached to a second pole to saw through the hammock.
“A little ingenuity and teamwork helped lead to a positive outcome & this four-legged friend was sent back into the woods, unharmed,” the post said.
