Aug. 17 (UPI) — The annual Corgi Race Vilnius in Lithuania featured about 150 short-legged canines from nine different countries.
The Saturday event featured multiple races, costume contests, a “smartest nose” tracking competition, puzzle-solving contests and a “Mightiest Voice” barking contest.
Participating corgis and owners hailed from nine countries including Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Britain and the United States.
The first Corgi Race Vilnius was held in 2020 as a friendly contest between two corgis and their owners. Subsequent years have seen it become an international event.
