July 16 (UPI) — A South Carolina man heeded the advice of “a vision” that came to him and bought a lottery ticket that earned him $500,000.

The Upstate man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials he was sitting on his porch when he felt the sudden urge to play the lottery.

“I had a vision,” the man said. “It told me to go and get a ticket at the Cracker Jack store, and I got two of them.”

He bought two $10 scratch-offs from the Cracker Jack on Pendleton Street in Greenville and one of them, a Gold Vault Extra Play! game, turned out to be a $500,000 winner.

The winner said he did not have time to celebrate his good luck.

“I had to go to work,” he said.

The winner said he will share some of his prize money with his family and share the rest.

“I’m blessed to have it,” he said.
