President Donald Trump moved to close what his administration calls a loophole in U.S. immigration law this week, signing two executive orders aimed at birth tourism and birthright citizenship. The orders are among several notable developments to come out of Washington over the past several days.
The administration also filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against a Maryland county, created a new commission dedicated to military families and issued a wave of federal grants supporting disaster relief and global health work.
