Trans funeral director accused of forging documents of dead person to transfer all assets and estate to himself

“Unique” Green has a slew of other forgery charges going back to 1998.

A trans-identified male funeral director in Houston, Texas, has been accused of forging documents in order to steal the $2.2 million estate of a man whom he was supposed to conduct a funeral for.

Michael Green, who now goes by “Unique,” has been charged with allegedly forging documents in order to transfer millions of an estate as well as other assets to himself, including the deceased man’s car, home, and investment accounts.

According to ABC7, the outlet found a will that was filed in Harris County months after the man died, which said that he left “my entire estate to my long-term partner and common law spouse, Unique M. Green, in recognition of her unwavering love, devotion and support.”

The man’s family told authorities that they did not know of Green until they contacted him to conduct the funeral. Green has a slew of other forgery charges going back to 1998. In 2007, Green pleaded guilty to submitting fraudulent claims to get FEMA funds. He used fake Social Security numbers and addresses in order to obtain the cash.

Green bonded out with an $800,000 bail. In addition to the forgery, his funeral home businesses claimed to conduct cremations. However, some families have been waiting on ashes and remains of their loved ones since 2023. When police carried out a search warrant to raid his business in connection with the forgery charges, police said that they found “a Home Depot bucket filled with organs, and 48 boxes of cremated human remains.”

Green has denied all wrongdoing and claimed that the facts will demonstrate that he followed the law.
