Assassin’s Creed! College Football! Sword Art Online!
by Sammy Barker
I’m hesitant to say the release schedule is going wild this week, but there’s no doubt we’re getting a lot more PS5 games as we move into July.
The highlight is obvious: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be a must for most PS5 owners.
EA Sports College Football 27 will also be a big seller, and keep an eye on Echoes of Aincrad as well.
Here’s everything coming out this week.
New PS5 Games This Week (6th-12th July)
- Taishogun: The Rise of Emperor (7th July – PS5): “During the 12th-century Heian-Jidai period, internal tensions rose as the power of the clans grew alongside the imperial court, and mysterious supernatural phenomena began to occur.”
- The Caribou Trail (7th July – PS5): “Far from home, Fisher leaves his quiet harbor town in Newfoundland to join the British war effort with his friends. They expect a short-lived adventure full of tales to bring back home.”
- The Fissure (7th July – PS5): “Take the role of a young man named Nahuel as he travels to his mother’s hometown of San Adraín, a quiet and remote village that he’s never visited before… or so he believes. What Nahuel finds in San Adraín feels oddly familiar, perhaps too familiar to simply be because of the stories his mom told him. The family home almost seems haunted, the townspeople are cautious and distant, everything smells of firewood and neighbors he’s never met act as if they recognize him.”
- Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok (8th July – PS5): “Known for its dynamic combat, ensemble of versatile characters, and thrilling online co-op, Relink returns with expanded solo and multiplayer content, bringing endless adventure to skyfarers both new and old.”
- RED TITANS (8th July – PS5): “RED TITANS is a single-player vertical shoot ’em up. You must put an end to the threat by creating a strategy with the available resources. You will need great skill since there are no continues, although you will be able to recover lives at certain moments.”
- Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced (9th July – PS5): “Strike fear in your foes as you board and sink enemy vessels as Edward Kenway, captain of the Jackdaw. Whether blending into crowds or leading daring assaults, switch between silent takedowns and fierce brawls as you effortlessly wield swords, pistols, and the Hidden Blade. With a cast of historical pirate legends at your side, defy empires amidst the age-old conflict opposing Assassins and Templars.”
- EA Sports College Football 27 (9th July – PS5): “In EA SPORTS™ College Football 27, step into the modern era of college football where personal ambition meets program pride. Engineer your team with Dynasty Blueprint, take on new positions with deeper customization in Road to Glory, and play as your favorite mascots in Mascot Mashup while immersed in the iconic traditions and pageantry of game day.”
- Forward to the Sky (9th July – PS5): “The second 3D action title brought to you by the Animu Game × COSEN team. Guide our princess knight as she races toward the top of the Tower of the Sky, collecting crystals that are said to reveal the whereabouts of the legendary witch. Dive in and enjoy this 3D action-adventure packed with engaging puzzle elements!”
- Rally Car Mechanic Simulator (9th July – PS5): “Become an automotive sports mechanic in Rally Mechanic Simulator. Challenge your skills to the limit. Manage the garage, dealing with parts and funds. Fix damaged rally cars, tune them and go to rallies. Deal with bad weather and limited time. Conquer all of that and your competition. Become the mechanic of the best rally team out there.”
- Viking Frontiers (9th July – PS5): “Survival of your people – that’s the only thing that matters. Become the leader of a newly founded Viking settlement and lead it to safety and glory. Gather, build, craft, hunt, raid and follow your Gods to endure hardships of nature and save your clan from violent destruction.”
- Echoes of Aincrad (10th July – PS5): “Step into the floating castle of Aincrad, a world of breathtaking beauty and danger where every battle could be your last. Enter a mysterious, vibrant world and shape your fate. Create your hero, choose your gear, and master combat through your special skills and reflexes. Build synergy with the partner of your choice, level up, and unlock powerful abilities as your horizon expands with every victory.”
- Tower Dominion (10th July – PS5): “Tower Dominion is a roguelike tower defense game built around strategic freedom and replayability. Each playthrough begins with a partially generated map that can be further expanded and customized through a modular building system, allowing players to shape the battlefield around their strategy.”

The ultranationalist war criminal Vladimir Makarov is extending his grasp across the world causing Task Force 141 to fight like never before.”
