The Hill and the Hole: Now Available on YouTube

Here’s a little treat for a fan of Fortean films—and if you’re reading this, you’re probably among them: The movie The Hill and the Hole, directed by Bill Darmon and Chris Ernst, is now free to watch on YouTube.

This movie is so unapologetically weird, it hasn’t lost any of its potency since I first watched it—here’s my review if you’re interested to read it.

Loosely based on Fritz Leiber’s short story of the same name (which was published in the pulp magazine “Unknown Worlds” in 1942), Leiber’s original ghost tale was transmogrified into a smorgasbord of archeological mysteries, window areas, conspiracies and secret societies.

What’s best is that it features some of our closest friends and colleagues in the field, like Adam Gorightly, Tim Binnall, and even a small cameo of Loren Coleman by the end.

So go and enjoy the rest of your Sunday with this little gem that has turned into something of a cult film—quite fitting, given its content.
