We’ll all get a chance to make up our mind on Marathon when the Server Slam gets underway in a little over a week, from 26th February.
But tell you what: the game is looking real good right now.
This extended gameplay clip shows a squad fighting against the AI, before getting embroiled in a PvP battle against another team. The video focuses on a Triage player, so we get a better look at the medic’s role and abilities.
Clearly, even if extraction shooters aren’t your cup of tea, there’s some serious sauce here. The gunplay measures up to Bungie’s legacy, while the aesthetic and art design is seriously off the charts.
There’s been a lot of discussion around this game, and whether it will be a success or not. Naturally, the Server Slam will give us a better idea – but we wouldn’t bet against it blowing up. It really does look like it’s shaping up to be something special.
