Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition finally announced for Nintendo Switch 2, out now, trailer – Nintendo Everything

After numerous leaks, Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition has finally been announced for Nintendo Switch 2. Not only that, but you can purchase it now.

We’ve heard about this one as early as March. Initially, the game was outed by a classification rating. More recently, the release date was leaked with a few details coming shortly after that.

Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition will come to Nintendo Switch 2 with improvements compared to the Switch 1 version thanks to improved performance, better graphics, and reduced loading times. All updates, DLC, and gameplay improvements released since the original launch are packed in as well.

Here’s an official overview:

In search of the missing Chaos Emeralds, Sonic becomes stranded on an ancient island teeming with unusual creatures. Accelerate to new heights and explore vast open zones as your race across the massive Starfall Islands! Battle hordes of powerful enemies with an all-new combat system, uncover the island’s mysteries, and saves Sonic’s friends.

The Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition includes:

– Sonic Frontiers base game
– “The Final Horizon” story campaign
– “Sights, Sounds, and Speed” and “Sonic’s Birthday Bash” Content Updates
– Bonus in-game items (Explorer’s Treasure Box, “Monster Hunter” Collaboration Pack, “Sonic Adventure 2” Shoes, and Holiday Cheer Suit)
– Digital Art Book and Mini Soundtrack

Please note that the content of “Explorer’s Treasure Box” can only be validated when you start a New Game.
