There’s a small book to be written about Sen. Chris Murphy’s flirtation with Iran and Islamic terrorists. But he’s not even trying to hide it anymore.
Democratic Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy is under fire after a one-word social media post fueled accusations he was a “traitor” cheering against the United States amid the war in Iran.
“Awesome,” Murphy wrote on X in response to a post reporting that 26 ships in Iran’s shadow fleet have made it past the US blockade in the Gulf of Oman.
According to Sen. Murphy, he was being ‘sarcastic’.
Was he also being sarcastic when he undermined the Trump administration during its first term by meeting with Iranian regime officials?
Sen. Chris Murphy on Tuesday defended his meeting with Iran’s foreign minister, while President Donald Trump accused the Connecticut Democrat of violating a law that bars U.S. citizens from conducting unauthorized negotiations with nations that have disputes with the United States.
Murphy led a delegation of Democrats to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif during the Munich Security Conference last Saturday.
Murphy’s history doesn’t make this seem like sarcasm, but yet one more act of treason.
