July 23 (UPI) — A South Carolina man who has been using the same set of numbers to play the lottery for three years finally won a $150,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot.

The Lowcountry man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials the numbers on the ticket he bought from the Harris Teeter on Long Pointe Road in Mount Pleasant were very familiar to him.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers since 2023,” the player said. “It paid off, and I’m sticking with them.”

The numbers — 11, 13, 24, 29 and 34 — scored the man a $150,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot.

“It was amazing,” the man said of the moment he realized he won. “I’d never won anything in my life.”

The winner said he has already started to spend his prize money.

“I bought a new car,” he said.
