Allegedly originating from social media platform Douyin (China’s TikTok) via a member of an outsourced animation team, a user from Chinese message board RedNote (aka Xiaohongshu) claims to have received leaked images featuring Persona 6 character designs and background art. It’s been said that people have been privately contacted to delete those images from their phones.

The art features two characters: a blond male character, and a female character with black and red hair. There’s also background art of a railway station.

There are two points of corroboration to this supposed leak. The first is ResetEra user lolilolailo, vetted as an insider by the website’s moderators. This user had previously leaked the existence of P5R coming to Xbox, along with P3P and P4G to Xbox, Switch and PC 9 months before the official announcement. They had also confirmed the existence of a Persona 3 remake 3 months before the internal video leak, and 5 months before the official announcement.

lolilolailo now claims that these P6 designs are legitimate, and that the male character is the protagonist, while the female character is not.

The second point is from Twitter user @eXtas1stv. This user had previously confirmed that Soul Hackers 2 would be coming to Xbox Game Pass 10 days prior to the official announcement. This user claimed earlier this week, from a RedNote leak, that P6 is to be released in 2027, that it is “feature complete” and, more importantly, that there would be dual protagonists: a female character with black and red hair, and a male character with blond hair.

While the legitimacy of these designs being related to Persona 6 remains questionable, it’s likely more information on the next mainline Persona game will be announced this year.
