President Trump will convene a rare Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday as negotiations with Iran ramp up.

“All cabinet members — including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard — are expected to join Trump,” the New York Post reports.

According to CBS News, a White House official said they will discuss “recent successes of the administration including economy and small business wins, Task Force to Eliminate Fraud highlights, and foreign policy updates.”

CBS News shared further:

The meeting comes amid negotiations with Iran for a peace deal, which Mr. Trump has insisted are proceeding “nicely,” though he posted on social media Tuesday that he wanted a “good deal or no deal at all.”

Overnight, the U.S. targeted Iranian missile sites and boats U.S. Central Command claims were laying mines in what the U.S. described as “self-defense strikes,” but Iran called a “grave violation” of the fragile ceasefire.

But the official noted the meeting location at Camp David is contingent on the weather — Mr. Trump usually travels to Camp David by Marine One, but if the weather is bad they could scrap the trip and change the location.

“I think there’s strong alignment and agreement on what a preliminary draft should look like,” Rubio said on Iran.

“I think, like anything with something like this, it’s going to take a couple days to settle, even down to the disagreements over a word [or] a sentence,” Rubio continued.

“It’s either going to be a good deal or there isn’t going to be one,” he added.

More from the New York Post:

The administration is also working to highlight its work on affordability and other issues of concern to voters ahead of the November midterm elections.

But Iran is likely to dominate the conversation after the US conducted strikes late Monday on targets in the south of the country, followed by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei threatening American military bases in the Middle East.
