Crossing the codes
Sony has announced the lineup of games heading to PS Plus Essential for the month of July 2026. They’ll be available to members starting 7th July, 2026.
There are three PS5/PS4 games in the monthly selection, and they include:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PS5, PS4) | Review
- For the King II (PS5, PS4)
- CrossCode (PS5, PS4) | Review
As usual, these titles will be available to download at no extra cost throughout the month, and will remain playable as long as you have an active PS Plus subscription (at any tier).

Obviously the headline addition this time around is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which needs no real introduction. It’s one of the more recent Call of Duty titles, including the typical trio of campaign, multiplayer, and zombies.
It’s not one of the series’ finest, but if you wanna shoot stuff, it certainly has that going for it.
Next up is For the King II, a combination of roguelite and tabletop inspired elements that’s playable in single player or up to four-player co-op.
CrossCode rounds out July’s selection. This is a 2D action RPG inspired by the classics, with 16-bit visuals, fast-paced fights, and a sci-fi story.
