President Trump has responded to Iran launching several missiles into Israel.
As WLT Report previously reported, Iran launched several missiles into Israel on late Sunday afternoon.
Israel’s military announced the missiles launched by Iran were quickly intercepted by its missile defense systems.
Now President Trump has responded to Iran launching its first attack against Israel since signing a ceasefire agreement in April and shared that Iran needs to get back to the negotiating table.
Fox News provided full quotes from President Trump regarding the latest move by Iran:
President Donald Trump said Sunday that the recent Iranian missile attack on Israel was unhelpful to ongoing talks while expressing optimism that a deal is within reach.
Speaking to Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst, Trump said the attack would complicate diplomatic efforts.
“It’s certainly not going to help negotiations,” he said.
“We’re very close. I would say an agreement would be signed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week. And now this takes place,” Trump added before suggesting to Iran, “You’ve shot your missiles, that’s enough. Get back to the table and make a deal.”
Trump also criticized Israel’s strikes on Beirut on Sunday, saying he was “not happy about it.”

CNN has reported Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin to not retaliate:
US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are speaking now, according to an Israeli source and a person familiar with the call.
Trump previously told Axios’ Barak Ravid that he was going to call Netanyahu and tell him not to attack Iran in response to Iran’s missile launches.
The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is not taking any chances and has ordered its staff to shelter in place:
