President Trump on Wednesday predicted that Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) would go down as the “WORST Republican Congressman in the long and fabled history of the United States Congress.”
Trump said Massie would be “even worse than Crazy Liz Chaney, Cryin’ Adam Kinzinger, and Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown.”
“They are all misfits and losers, but Massie, who is running against a great American Patriot in the Kentucky Primary, will hopefully lose BIG. I LOVE KENTUCKY!!!” he added.
Trump’s statement precedes his visit to Kentucky, where he will speak at an event in Massie’s congressional district.
President Trump Scheduled To Visit Rep. Thomas Massie’s District This Week
More from the New York Post:
Massie (R-Ky.) hasn’t been shy about bucking Trump on key votes, having opposed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and numerous government funding bills, while championing the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Given the House GOP’s razor-thin majority, Massie’s opposition on key partisan votes has given Republican leadership headaches and made him the foremost congressional thorn in Trump’s side.
Trump’s longtime advisers, Chris LaCivita and Tony Fabrizio, have launched the Kentucky MAGA Super PAC with a dedicated mission of taking down Massie in the May 19 primary.
The president and his allies have thrown their weight behind former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein in his primary campaign against Massie.
Massie, who is backed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), another pol in Trump’s crosshairs, has attempted to fundraise off Trump’s broadsides.
“I predict ‘President’ DJT will begrudgingly sign my beautiful Epstein Files Transparency Act, causing beleaguered princes and ambassadors and prime ministers and CEOs around the world to be arrested or resign in total shame. Oh wait, that already happened,” Massie’s campaign account responded.

ABC News noted:
Last week, Massie was one of two Republicans to buck party leadership and vote in favor of the Iran war powers resolution, which attempts to curtail military action.
In October, Trump said Massie needed to be “thrown out of office,” after the congressman objected to a short-term funding bill backed by the president– also saying, “[Massie] SHOULD BE PRIMARIED, and I will lead the charge against him.”
Trump then nudged Gallrein to enter the race, backed him, and the fifth-generation farmer launched his bid that month.
In a social media post on Monday, Gallrein said the “rally will be a huge moment for our campaign and for the people of Northern Kentucky.” Gallrein wrote Monday on X.
In an interview with ABC affiliate WCPO about the president’s visit and his race against Gallrein, Massie said he’s glad Trump is visiting the district and “paying attention to local issues.”
“I suspect he’s also going to try and help my opponent, but you know that’s really all my opponent has going for him. He’s promised to be a rubber stamp when he gets to Washington, D.C., and I don’t think people here want a rubber stamp.”
