Another rumored price tag for GTA 6 has surfaced online and it’s even more expensive than some experts have predicted.

Even though Rockstar Games have been silent on Grand Theft Auto 6 for over a year, that hasn’t stopped GTA fans from getting excited. They’ve been searching high and low on social media, and in GTA Online, for any potential clues.

On top of that, they’ve had a number of experts and analysts weigh in with different theories about the long-awaited game’s release. That has included a few of them setting the price tag pretty high.

To kick off March, Michael Pachter, the managing director of equity research at Wedbush Securities, said that the price of GTA 6 could be “unheard of” and north of $100.

GTA 6 cost could $112 dollars

That information worried a lot of Grand Theft Auto fans, with many saying that they wouldn’t want to see such a jump in price.

Now, a Swiss retailer – Brack – has added to those fears with their official listing for GTA 6 pre-orders. They’ve set the pre-order price for the base edition at 99 CHF, which translates to £90, €103, and $112.

“Nah $112 is crazy, imma still cop but damn I hope its fake,” one fan weighed in. “$178AUD? Bruh, you’re joking…,” another commented

The Brack listing is the most expensive yet.

As others noted, this could very well be a placeholder listing and price that will change once Rockstar reveals more.

However, the Swiss retailer is a reliable one and has been known to be spot on in the past when they’ve put similar listings out.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick did weigh in on the price rumors, noted that his company’s goal centers on “delivering more value than what we charge.”

Others in the industry have suggested that publishers and developers are waiting on GTA to shift the pricing before they follow suit. “Everyone’s just waiting for GTA 6 to do it,” Michael Douse, the Director of Publishing for Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios, said.
