On January 26, 2026, a self-described Antifa member in Minneapolis publicly urged armed individuals to take to the streets to confront federal immigration officials he labeled “mass murderers” and “fascist occupiers,” according to Fox News.
Kyle Wagner, who identifies himself as part of Antifa and describes himself as a “master-hate-baiter,” shared the call to action in a series of videos posted on Instagram.
In the videos, Wagner asked for “armed” men to get their “boots on the ground” and said that only such a response could stop immigration officials from killing more people. He framed the situation as urgent and said there was “no time” to let the conflict continue without resistance.
Wagner acknowledged in the videos that he is not legally permitted to own a firearm, but he encouraged others who do have guns to “show up” and be ready to “do what needs to be done.”
He also criticized immigration agents for what he called killing people for “waving cameras” and confronting them verbally during enforcement actions.
His comments came shortly after the deaths of two anti-ICE agitators in the area, including Alex Pretti, a Minneapolis resident who was killed during an encounter with a Border Patrol agent on January 24. Federal authorities said Pretti was armed and resisted efforts to disarm him, while eyewitnesses and video footage raised questions about the circumstances of the shooting.
Shawn Holster, a former chair of the Minneapolis GOP, criticized Wagner’s statements, labeling him a “wannabe influencer” who exacerbates tensions in the city. Holster suggested that removing such figures would reduce conflict in Minneapolis.
