March 13 (UPI) — A Michigan man made a quick stop on his way to work and won a $533,646 lottery jackpot on his morning commute.

The 19-year-old Lapeer County man told Michigan Lottery officials he was on his way to work when he stopped at Mobil X on Van Dyke Road in Almont.

“I stopped and bought a Fast Cash ticket on my way to work and looked it over later that day,” the player said. “My mom has the Michigan Lottery app on her phone, so when I saw I’d won the jackpot, I had her scan the ticket to make sure it was real. We started screaming and jumping up and down when $533,646 came up on the scanner!”

The Double Win Wild Time game scored the Fast Cash progressive jackpot.

The winner said his prize money will go into savings.
