Aug. 7 (UPI) — A Maryland man who won $50,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket in 2015 followed up his big win by scoring the same amount from another ticket 11 years later.
The Fort Washington man told Maryland Lottery officials he recently bought a $5 Multiply Your Money ticket from Brother Liquors on Old Fort Road in Fort Washington and scratched it off while in the store.
He revealed a $50,000 prize.
“Yeah, I was surprised. And the guy in the store was surprised he sold me one that big,” the winner said.
The man previously won $50,000 from a Diamonds and Dollars scratch-off in July 2015.
The winner said he used some of his previous winnings to buy a new car and the rest is still in his bank account. He said his latest prize will help fund a home improvement project and help out a family member before the remainder joins his previous winnings in the bank.
