Aug. 12 (UPI) — A Maryland man bought two identical tickets for the same Pick 5 lottery drawing and both wound up winning $50,000, for a total prize of $100,000.
The Salisbury resident, identified as Kenny G, told Maryland Lottery officials he plays the same set of lucky numbers across multiple drawing games, and has previously picked up smaller prizes from Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings.
He used those numbers — 32821 — when he bought two Pick 5 straight bets for a single drawing at the Salisbury Quick Stop on North Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury.
Each ticket ended up winning a $50,000 prize in the July 24 drawing, earning him a total $100,000.
Kenny G, who has four children and three grandchildren, said he will use his winnings to take care of his family and maintain his home.
