A tech enthusiast who bought a bunch of used Apple products off a stranger in a parking lot was left pleasantly surprised by the haul.
If you’ve got the skills, repairing and reselling old gadgets and devices can be a great way to make some extra cash.
Some folks even splash out on entire pallets of tech returns in the hopes of turning a quick profit.
However, YouTube content creator Hugh Jeffreys decided to take a bit of a bigger risk and bought a mixed bag of 20 old Apple devices from an online seller.

He took a risk buying a bag of old Apple products, but was surprised what he got
The YouTuber found the bag of old tech on Facebook Marketplace, where the listing had been live for a few days without any interest.
The seller said the 20 Apple devices were ‘unlocked and working’, but Hugh had no way of knowing if that was true.
To make things slightly more sketchy, he then arranged to meet up with the seller in a parking lot, where he handed over just $75 for the bag.
After taking a quick look at the quantity of the items, Hugh guessed that the seller owned a repair shop and that they were trade-ins or e-waste.
So, what did he actually get for his $75?
Well, quite a lot.
Inside the bag, he found a bunch of iPhones, including an XS, an 11, a 12 Pro, an 8, and a 7.
He got some classic iPods, including a 5th-generation and an iPod Touch 2nd-generation, and a trio of iPads.
Did he make a profit on the bag of old tech?
Although the seller stated that all the devices were unlocked and working, that didn’t turn out to be the case.
Two of the iPads were locked, making them worthless, and the same was true for an iPhone 7 Plus.
However, almost all of the other gadgets did work, although a couple of them would need to be repaired before being sold on.
Overall, Hugh’s $75 gamble more than paid off – the resale value on the unlocked iPhone XS was $100 by itself.
The classic iPods were also worth quite a bit, and an iPhone 4S that was still running iOS 5, could be valuable to collectors.
In total, the YouTuber reckoned the bag of Apple products was worth around $800, leaving him with a profit of more than $700.
