Mamdani-Backed Candidate Loses Badly in Manhattan Race

The DSA and other socialists want to make Mamdani the new Obama, but in his honeymoon period he’s underwater among New Yorkers and after working hard to try and elect his candidate in the West Village of Manhattan, of all places, she lost badly instead.

You may remember Lindsey Boylan for being the woman whose claims helped take down Cuomo. I gave her a little too much credence at the time but since then she’s proven to be remarkably flexible.

By the time she ran for New York City’s Council out of the West Village and Hell’s Kitchen, she was a rebranded serial leftist and Mamdani and his even more slimy pal, Brad Lander, currently running for Congress, came out to campaign for her. Despite the backing of the Left and the media, Boylan flopped. Current numbers have her a distant second with only 25% of the vote.

With ranked choice voting, a machine for electing leftists who would otherwise lose elections and for confusing elderly voters, you can never tell, but it doesn’t look particularly good for Boylan.

Which means that it doesn’t look good for Mamdani.

Mamdani’s leftist allies tried to make this race into a referendum on a war between the DSA (Tax the Rich, No Israel, No Capitalism) and the Democrat establishment. And voters weren’t interested.

The message here is that Mamdani and the DSA are much weaker than they’ve been made to appear.
