July 9 (UPI) — Chaos erupted inside a Meta office in Thailand when a squirrel erupted from a package delivered to the building and ran wild.
An internal memo reviewed by Wired revealed the squirrel was inside a package delivered to the Facebook parent company’s office in Bangkok and wound up running loose through the facility.
The squirrel scratched a janitor, causing a minor injury, before being wrangled.
Mike Isaac, a New York Times reporter, tweeted about the incident after speaking with employees.
“Employees are predictably having a field day with it internally. One person created an AI-generated video mimicking an HR training course on squirrel-related office best practices,” Isaac wrote.
It was unclear why the squirrel package was delivered to Meta’s office.
The company has yet to comment on the incident.
