April 15 (UPI) — Firefighters and a veterinarian in Britain spent about four hours rescuing a horse found stuck on its side in deep and sticky mud.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said on social media that crews responded to Fence Houses on a report of a horse trapped in mud.
The a crew of 11 firefighters, assisted by a veterinarian from Clevedale Vets Small Animal clinic, said it took about four hours to get the horse, named Eyke Seasprite, back on its feet and out of the mud.
“We’re pleased to say that Eyke Seasprite is now doing well,” the post said.
