July 23 (UPI) — A Polish endurance expert spent 2 hours, 12 minutes and 12 seconds completely buried in snow to break a Guinness World Record.
Damian Kasprzyk, 41, earned the title for the longest time spent in direct full body contact with snow (male) when he attempted the stunt in Szlachtowa, Poland, on Feb. 21.
Kasprzyk previously broke the record for the longest duration full body contact with ice (male), at 5 hours, 1 minute and 33 seconds.
Kasprzyk credited Valerjan Romanovski, whose Guinness World Records titles include longest duration submerged in ice water (male), with helping him prepare for his attempt.
“He has been instrumental in preparing me mentally and physically for what it takes to endure such extreme conditions,” he told Guinness World Records.
