Look: ‘Goose on the loose’ wrangled in Connecticut

April 14 (UPI) — Animal control officials in Connecticut are trying to find the owner of a “goose on the loose” found in Orange.

Milford Animal Control said on social media that the goose was found by an Orange woman who is keeping the avian safe and healthy until its owner can be found.

Canada geese are native to Connecticut, but the domesticated goose found in orange appears to be a Toulouse goose, a breed originating from France.

They are not found in the wild in New England, but are often sold commercially due to their large size and docile temperament.

Animal control is asking anyone with information on the goose’s origins to contact officials.
