Feb. 13 (UPI) — The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium in Missouri announced it is experiencing a “baby boom,” with its third giraffe calf born in under four months.

The zoo said on social media that the latest arrival, Nora, was born to mother Makali and father Aidan on Feb. 7, and is bonding with her siblings, Beni and Aspen.

Nora is the third Masai giraffe calf to be born at the zoo in under four months.

“The herd, which is rounded out by Chandy, Alika, and Willow, are currently behind the scenes as we continue construction on a new giraffe complex slated to open in early summer,” the zoo said.

Masai giraffes are listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
