Another bloody day by the Thames.
Stabbings are unfortunately a common occurrence in London, as well as many other UK and European cities.
But a street rampage committed by a white, middle-aged woman with a pair of scissors is much rarer.
But that’s exactly what appears to have transpired in Covent Garden today (5).

The Telegraph reported:
“A woman has been arrested after four men were stabbed in Covent Garden. The Metropolitan Police said the 47-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault and possessing an offensive weapon. She remains in custody.
The four men – aged 34, 39, 42 and 52 – were found with stab wounds and assessed at the scene, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.”

“Two victims are in hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The other two victims have since been discharged.
The incident is believed to have been mental health-related, and a pair of scissors was recovered by police.”

The Sun reported:
“Officers were seen talking with her on the junction between Short’s Gardens and Neal Street as she appears to hold an unknown item in her hand. They then tackle her to the ground and appear to restrain her as terrified bystanders kept their distance.
Pictures showed an Air Ambulance helicopter landing in a packed Trafalgar Square as shocked tourists watched on.
After being treated at the scene, the victims – aged 34, 39, 42 and 52 – were then rushed to hospital ‘as a priority’.”
