GOP Rep. Nancy Mace has conceded the South Carolina primary race for governor after getting destroyed in the crowded GOP primary.

South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette was handed an 11th-hour Trump endorsement late last month.

In her concession speech, Nancy Mace endorsed state Attorney General Alan Wilson in the runoff with Evette.

“I voted to release the Epstein files and lost some support for that,” she said. “Apparently, I chose wrong if the goal was winning an election,” she continued, crediting her loss to her choice to “stand on principle and against the Epstein cover-up.”

Mace: I voted to release the Epstein files and lost some support for that. As a survivor, I chose to stand on principle and stand against the Epstein cover-up. I chose to stand against child rapists. I chose to expose the name sitting in the sexual harassment slush fund. I chose to expose DEI judges, and I chose to expose the abusers of children, and apparently I chose wrong if the goal was winning an election.

I want you to know that I’m going to endorse Alan Wilson for governor. I want a law and order governor, and that law and order order governor is going to be Alan Wilson, and I not only think he’s going to win tonight. I think he’s going to mop the floor with Pamela Evette, and I very much look forward to that.

“Serving South Carolina has been the greatest honor of my life. Every vote I cast, every hearing I called, every fight I picked — it was always for you,” Mace said in a lengthy X post, championing her vote to release the Epstein files.

At approximately 10 PM ET, Mace was in 5th place with 11.8% of the vote.

Pamela Evette and Alan Wilson are projected to advance to a primary runoff on June 23.

The Gateway Pundit will provide updates on the runoff election for the Republican South Carolina governor nominee.
