Judge Zia Faruqui APOLOGIZES to would-be Trump assassin Cole Allen over his ‘treatment’ in jail

Judge Zia Faruqui “apologized to suspect Cole Allen for the treatment he’s received so far.”

In a hearing on Monday, the judge presiding over the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting case apologized to suspect Cole Allen over the alleged treatment he has received in jail. Allen had been placed on suicide watch after his arrest.

Per Fox News’ Mike Emanuel, Judge Zia Faruqui “apologized to suspect Cole Allen for the treatment he’s received so far.”

In the hearing, the judge reportedly questioned by Allen has been placed on suicide watch by the Department of Corrections. A DOJ attorney said that Allen had been placed on suicide watch because he had suggested to FBI agents on the night of the attempted attack that he had not been expecting to survive. The judge reportedly said that Allen has had his requests for a Bible and for meetings with his legal team denied.

“He’s been put in restrictive 24-hour lockup with no windows and a padded room without an opportunity to get out for recreation. And so the judge making it clear to the Department of Corrections that he wants answers by tomorrow morning about exactly what the housing determination will be made for the suspect in this case, out of grave concern about his constitutional rights, and that apology issued near the end of the hearing,” Emanuel said.

Allen has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump as well as other counts in connection with the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting in April. He will remain in custody ahead of his trial.
