GameStop is currently holding a “Buy More, Save More” sale on a selection of pre-owned games, allowing you to save 10%, 20%, or 30% depending on the number of games you add to your cart.
For 10% off, add two to three games from this selection to your cart. To inch that up to 20% off, add four to five. Or, if you want to hit the full 30% off, add six or more games from this sale.
This sale features some exciting pre-owned picks – very recent games like Pokémon Pokopia, Crimson Desert, and Resident Evil Requiem were the very first to catch my eye.
If you’re hoping to scoop them up, there’s actually a workaround you can do to get that 30% off without buying a whole cart’s worth of expensive games. Here’s how it works:
On GameStop’s deal page, if you click here, or sort the available selection from their lowest to highest price, you’ll find games marked as low as $0.99.
If you scoop up five of these to add to your cart alongside your more expensive pick of, say, Resident Evil Requiem on PlayStation 5, you can still get that 30% taken off in your cart.
Yes, you’ll need to spend $4.95 on games like Madden NFL 20 or NBA 2K20, but that small price unlocks a whole 30% off recent great games like Crimson Desert and Resident Evil Requiem. That’s a huge deal.
For example, by adding the other five $0.99 titles of your choice to your cart alongside Resident Evil Requiem, this brings Requiem’s price down from $64.99 to $45.49, hitting that 30% discount for your cart since you have six games in total. The entire cart costs $48.94 (pre-tax and shipping), so $16.05 less than Requiem’s pre-owned price, and $21.05 less than a brand new copy.
If you don’t want the full six games, dropping down the amount of extra games added still gets you either that 20% or 10% discount, depending on the number in your cart.
And while it’s not the biggest selection of pre-owned games at this $0.99 price, there are also some other picks available for just $1.99 as you keep scrolling down – including genuinely good games like Titanfall 2 and The Division – which can be used to pad out your cart to hit this discount as well.
So long as you don’t mind having a pre-owned game, this sale is full of some excellent options for your library. I’m a big Resident Evil fan in general, but absolutely loved stepping into Grace and Leon’s shoes in this one. If you’re looking for a spooky good time this spring, definitely look into Requiem.
There’s even some goodies for Switch 2 owners to grab, including Pokémon Pokopia. We adored this one, calling it an “enjoyable, personality-packed building simulator set in a surprisingly deep world that is stuffed with fun things for its delightful Ditto protagonist to do and create” in our review. If it’s one you’ve had your eye on, this is a great opportunity to pick it up.
Those are just the start of what’s available, though. Have a look through GameStop’s full selection of pre-owned games in their sale here, and pick up the options that catch your eye by saving a little extra with the method above.
And if you’re looking for more video game deals to jump on right now, it’s always worth having a look through our roundup of the best deals of the day. Most recently, this includes some great offers on Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2, and quite a few more. What better time to fill up your gaming library?
