Former Jill Biden Spokesman’s Red Line That Could Make Him Vote Republican

A high-profile Democrat spokesman just gave his own party a massive wake-up call.

Michael LaRosa, former press secretary to First Lady Jill Biden, blew up social media over the weekend after breaking ranks to bash Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed — and give a thumbs-up to his Republican rival, incumbent Sen. Mike Rogers.

The digital drama started with just four letters. Replying to an X post from a voter who declared he was backing Rogers because he “fights terrorists” while El-Sayed “sympathizes with them,” LaRosa casually fired off: “SAME.”

That single word sent left-wing commentators into a tailspin, as some quickly accused LaRosa of orchestrating a traitorous GOP endorsement. But on Saturday, LaRosa poured cold water on the outrage machine, posting a fiery follow-up while revealing he was just trying to wind down with a glass of Whitehaven New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and an episode of “Ted Lasso.”

“I woke up in Crazy Town,” LaRosa wrote. “I’m not a public official. I have no constituency … I have no connection to Michigan or this Senate race beyond being a lifelong Democrat and political observer with opinions.”

“I have no cult following to deliver and no role in this race,” he continued. “Additionally, and to be very clear, I seek none either. I’m perfectly content and only tweet in my spare time as a hobby or out of boredom, as I’m a lifelong political junkie. I only care about keeping bad people out of the Democratic Party and good people in public service for the right reasons. That’s it.”

LaRosa made zero apologies for rejecting El-Sayed. He blasted the far-left candidate for failing to disavow controversial streamer Hasan Piker, who notoriously claimed America “deserved 9/11.”

“Of course I would rather see someone like Rogers over a ‘D’ who is too much of a p***y to stand up to an anti-Semitic goon like Hasan Piker,” he wrote. “I would never encourage any Democrat to support a candidate too weak to stand up to extremists who believe that those men and women jumping from a burning building 110 stories up because the alternative was worse deserved what they got on September 11th.”

A personal note (of thanks, I guess?)

I have to say, I’m genuinely flattered that a single-word post—“SAME”—somehow morphed into a lightning rod and was transformed overnight into an official political “endorsement,” eliciting so much anger, resentment, name-calling, smearing,…

Hours later, LaRosa doubled down, also referring to former Maine Democratic senatorial candidate Graham Platner: “I refused to defend or support anyone with an SS Totenkampf[sic] tattoo, simply because they had a ‘D’ next to their name. I won’t defend or support anyone who is too cowardly to stand up to extremists who think the mother of my best friend, who jumped from 95 stories because the alternative was worse, deserved what happened to her. Her only crime was showing up to work that morning. The Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan won’t or can’t stand up to the guy who says she ‘deserved’ what she got that morning she showed up for work.”

“Maybe he should try answering it again — and wipe the grin off his face next time,” LaRosa blasted on Sunday after El-Sayed brushed off the scandal. “I doubt the families of those who jumped 95 stories because the alternative was worse consider ‘America deserved 9/11’ some dumb thing — or a gotcha question.”

Even inside Jill Biden’s inner circle, patience for left-wing extremism is running out.
