Football recruiting: Three-star offensive lineman commits to CU Buffs

Ben Gula had the opportunity to stay close to home to play college football.

Instead, he chose to join the herd in Boulder.

On Friday night, the three-star offensive line recruit from Cypress Bay (Fla.) High School gave his verbal commitment to Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 285 pounds, Gula chose CU over Central Florida. He has 21 offers overall, including from Indiana, Maryland, Syracuse, Texas A&M and Wake Forest.

Gula is the 10th player to commit to CU for the 2026 class, including the second offensive lineman. Last month, 6-foot-7, 320-pound Xavier Payne, from Orlando, Fla., committed to the Buffs.
