First Ingrid match footage released for Street Fighter 6 showcasing what the mystery magical girl is truly capable of in combat – EventHubs

Ingrid’s big launch in Street Fighter 6 is now just a week away, and we’re getting our best look as to how she’ll actually function in the game.

A bunch of Japanese publications have just now released the first Ingrid match footage and more for Street Fighter 6’s final Season 3 DLC character.

As per usual, much of these videos are comprised of level 7 CPU mirror matches, but there’s also more like looks at Ingrid’s movelist, trials and start of Arcade Mode.

Like we pretty much already knew, Ingrid is looking like a serious long-range zoner who can strike a pose to stock up on her Sun Crests, which are used for a number of her moves.

It appears she’ll start ever round with one Sun Crest ready to go, but the rest she needs to charge manually.

The main use for her stocks are Ingrid’s big Sun Flare beam and is shown to launch the opponent on hit that can combo into her Vanishing Sun teleport attacks.

She also comes equipped with her Sun Shot projectile that can change it’s angle and speed along with Solar Burst aerial beam, Sun Rise spinning kicks and Sun Veil counter.

From the combo trials, it looks like Ingrid can connect her standing medium punch into medium kick (at least as a Punish Counter) as well as get some strings off of her lights.

Ingrid’s Arcade opening breaks the fourth wall a bit by showing her literally pulling back the page on Street Fighter’s reality to take a peek at Ryu, who notices her presence.

She appears to him and notes Ryu’s skills at sensing her.

Ingrid asks Ryu if he remembers who she is and that she knows him from previous timelines, which implies the extradimensional girl is aware of the events of Capcom Fighting Evolution and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max at least.

Some of the videos also contain more footage of Street Fighter 6’s new Random Avatar Matches and Avatar Arcade modes that are coming next week too.

Ingrid is set to release with this update on May 28 that will also contain Outfit 3 DLC for the Season 3 characters, which we haven’t seen yet.

It also appears that the Sun Octopus Super from the canceled Capcom Fighting All-Stars is not her Critical Art after all considering we see something totally different here, so it may be a special move limited to just her boss version interestingly.

You can check out all of the new gameplay footage below thanks to IGN Japan, GameSpot, 4Gamer, Dengeki Online, Gamer Channel, Denfami, and Impress Watch,
