First gameplay is in showing the new Nintendo Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy 10 on Nintendo Switch 2.
The RPG just celebrated its 25th anniversary. Originally, it released for the PS2 on July 19, 2001 in Japan. Square Enix marked the occasion with a special event featuring comedian and singer Eiko Kano, who checked out the RPG on Nintendo’s latest console.
Final Fantasy 10 on Nintendo Switch 2 will mostly be the same as it was on Switch 1. However, it will have a resolution boost and other extras like a high-speed mode and option to turn off random encounters. Note that Square Enix’s package will also include Final Fantasy 10-2.

Gameplay
Square Enix has been going a bit crazy with its Nintendo Switch 2 releases as of late. Just a few days ago, Star Ocean: The Second Story R hit the console with a native version. Octopath Traveler 1 and 2 also just came out for Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan this week (the west is getting it in October).
Final Fantasy 10 / 10-2 HD Remaster comes to Nintendo Switch 2 this Thursday, July 23.
