English Boy Converts to Islam, and the Shenanigans Begin

The Oxford Mail account is straightforward enough. It seems that a 16-year-old “Oxfordshire boy” has been “accused of having a suicide vest and of supporting Islamic State (IS).” The precocious lad has been “charged with stockpiling weapons, explosives and a suicide vest at his family home.”

The inventive youngster is “also accused of supporting IS and is suspected of sharing its propaganda on terrorist attacks as well as footage of battlefield explosions and killings.” It seems that the boy “converted to Islam as a teenager,” which must mean within the last three years, since he is only sixteen now, but he has made it a busy three years: he “is said to have had swords in his possession as well as homemade explosives.”

And so now, the zealous young convert “faces seven terrorism charges including over the alleged possession of a suicide vest.” It seems that he “sent a video ‘containing footage of Islamic State’ to another person in November last year and the following month shared a ‘battlefield video containing footage of Islamic State.” It’s so hard to know whom to trust these days.

Knowing whom to trust is actually the least of this young man’s problems. When he converted to Islam, his parents and teachers were likely supportive and positive. After all, they’re not “Islamophobes.” They know Islam is a religion of peace that is completely and entirely benign in all of its aspects, and that only very bad people suggest otherwise. And so they would never have dreamed of trying to convince this young man to reconsider his decision to convert to Islam. That would have been narrow-minded and “bigoted.”

And so now this. What is it about converts to Islam? Here we have yet another convert to Islam who somehow got the crazy idea that his new, peaceful religion commanded him to commit violence against those outside the fold. The boy became a jihad terrorist. Why did he do that? Did he immediately misunderstand his new, peaceful religion? Why didn’t the local imam and his new friends at the mosque prevent that from happening? Why do so many converts to Islam become terrorists, while so few converts to Christianity do so, if any become terrorists at all?

Every religion has its extremists, we’re told again and again, and yet there are literally hundreds and possibly many more converts to Islam who have joined terror groups, while there are vanishingly few, if any, converts to Christianity or other religions who have done so.

Yet these questions and others like them cannot be answered or even asked in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain today. To ask them would also be “Islamophobic.” To write the stories of all the converts to Islam who have turned to terrorism would make for a good-sized book, and yet it remains an iron dogma of American public discourse that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.

Authorities remain resolutely indifferent to this phenomenon, and not a single law enforcement or intelligence agency anywhere in the world is studying why so many converts to Islam end up in terror groups. To look into this and try to devise ways to prevent it would, once again, apparently be “Islamophobic.” Yet this only ensures that ever more new Muslims will find their way into terrorism, as this Oxfordshire boy can attest.

And there will be many more like him in the months and years to come. The West’s abandonment of Christianity, which is more total and all-encompassing in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain than it is elsewhere, has left a spiritual vacuum that Britain’s Marxist leaders neither recognize nor understand. Nor do they have any intention of dealing with it in any realistic or effective manner. Meanwhile, dawah propagandists are working hard to convert young Britons and transform the next generation of British society into an Islamic one.

As this Oxfordshire teenager and so many other converts like him demonstrate, that Islamic generation will be a bloody one. The Englishmen who have decided to worship a god who calls for the killing or subjugation of those outside the fold will have a great deal of work to do in Britain, and they will set out to do it with great enthusiasm. By the time they’re through, Britain as a free society will be but a dim memory, and a despised one: the worthless period of jahiliyya before Britain saw the light of Islam. Onward and upward!
